The construction group at Tsinghua University was originated in 1953 as a division in civil engineering department. And it began enrolling postgraduates at the same time.
1978
The department resumed to enroll postgraduates and the name of major changed from management engineering to construction economics and then management science and engineering.
1986
Based on the teaching and researching team of construction, the department set up the undergraduate major of Construction Engineering Management.
1999
The department began enrolling doctoral students majoring in real estate investment and construction management on Management Science and Engineering.
2000
The Department of Construction Management was set up on April 18, 2000, and the first department head was Prof. Liu Hongyu.
